Milan’s famous furniture fair is back for its 56th edition and along with the rest of the world, we can’t wait to see what it has in store! Luckily we have done some investigating and here is what you can expect to see at the Fiera Milano, Rho from April 4-9.
With over 2,000 exhibitors and an expected minimum of 300,000 visitors from over 165 nations, there is a reason that Salone del Mobile has such a high-standing global reputation. The festival tempts you to “be the first to see the latest” and with countless product launches, big-name designers and emerging talent, you certainly will be. Nordic design is set to keep its strong presence and plenty of designer and brand collaborations are expected, including Tom Dixon for Ikea. Aside from the main exhibition, there are a number of additional exhibitions which are set to draw in high numbers.
If you want to see the best that the lighting world has to offer, this is the exhibition which you need to attend. With 38,000 square meters of exhibition space for its 29th edition, Eurolaceis putting a particular focus on technological innovations this year. Emerging eco-friendly materials and their relationship with lighting design will also be highly featured.
International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition
The accessories exhibition which is running for its 28th year, allows for an extra dimension to the furniture at the trade show. 200 exhibitors will be showcasing their products exploring recent trends in design.
Returning for its 18th edition, Workplace 3.0 looks to the future of office design with 110 companies exhibiting their products and ideas. The exhibition plans to transform into a discussion for how spaces can adapt to developing work cultures and technologies. One of the most exciting aspects of the exhibition is its special event, ‘A Joyful Sense at Work’ which will look into the theory and design of the workplace with four installations.
